Court Heaters - Update
Dear Members
Following a survey conducted by UK Power Networks it has been confirmed that the building is in need of a power upgrade to ensure sufficient electrical supply before installation of the new longwave radiant heaters on all 3 courts. UKPN have been asked to supply upgrade quotations and lead-times.
In the meantime the current electrical supply WILL support (only just) heaters on 2 courts and we are pushing ahead with installation. The heaters have arrived for Court A and we hope to have these up and running very soon. Fitting of Picton court will immediately follow.
Court B fitting will depend on the feedback from UKPN and we will issue an update at a later date.
The old gas heaters have now been removed from all courts and initial preparation work completed to mount the new longwave radiant heaters. There is a certain amount of making good to be done including insulating and blocking off the high level vents at the front of each court which will be done in due course. We are conscious of potential condensation issues so propose to consult a ventilation expert to advise on whether or not we need to retain all the side vents.
