TWSRC Membership Renewal

Dear TWSRC Members

Obviously rampant inflation has pushed up the Club’s costs, however, a change in England Squash’s membership fee structure allows us to make only minimal adjustments to our membership fee structure again this year, and court fees will remain unchanged.

Instead of the club signing you up to England Squash and paying your fees, England Squash will deal directly with you. The Club will be charged on the number of courts we have, rather than the number of members. This change will come into effect in September.

Death or injury insurance cover was, and remains, one of the major benefits included in ES membership. As joining ES will be entirely in your hands, the TWSRC has decided to ensure that all club members have insurance cover, so have taken out our own insurance for you, included in your club membership fee. Our cover will provide £10,000 for death and a reduced scale for injury.

Full adult membership will remain at £290. However, £20 will be set up as a credit to your name behind the bar, similar to that system we employed a few years ago on renewals after the Covid shutdowns.
We will be clearing any remaining balances from the Covid credit at June 30 this year, and you will be able to start using your new £20 credit from 1 Aug. Please note that any balances remaining at 1 Jan, 2024 will be cleared, thus a use-it or lose-it benefit.

Off Peak moves up to £120, but still remains a substantial discount on full membership. Off Peak members now have their own challenge ladder, and are welcome to attend the free first Thursday of the month Open Club Nights.

Junior members under 18 will be increased by £5 to £55 per annum, the same fee paid by Students in full time education, which will be unchanged.

Spouse/partner membership fees will be substantially reduced for 2023/4 from £140 down to just £60 (for full membership partner’s living at the same address - not applicable to off-peak members). We are keen to encourage our member’s spouse/partners to join, and also to attract new members to this category. It also provides an attractive full family membership fee structure, which might also broaden our age and gender spreads. This will also receive the £20 credit behind the bar. I hope you’ll agree for less £1 per week this represents excellent value for money.

Table Tennis remains unchanged at £75 and Social at £25.

You will receive the usual renewal notice from the club under separate cover, and fees are to be paid by 1 July, please.

If you wish to change membership categories, or do not wish to renew your membership, please let Rollo B know at TWSRCmembership@gmail.com .
This will prevent you being chased by the club thinking you have forgotten to renew.

If you have any questions please contact Rollo.

We look forward to seeing you at the club !
Best wishes
The Committee.
