Keith Spurgeon
Dear members,
The Committee is sad to inform you that Keith Spurgeon is very poorly. He had some falls during December and towards the end of the month this was diagnosed as the result of him having had a stroke. He has spent some considerable time in the Kent and Sussex hospital and has recently been moved to Ashurst Park Care Home in Fordcombe where he now resides and is likely to stay.
Keith’s needs are too complicated for his beloved wife Shirley to be able to cope with at home as he has to be moved around with hoists. If you wish to see him, (he is very unlikely to visit the club), then Ashurst Park Care Home is the place to go – you will see that he is receiving the very best possible care. Shirley would like to thank all those members who have previously sent cards.
For those that do not know Keith, he has organised and compiled our Box Leagues for many a year and has been a keen club member – he will be sorely missed in the club house. For your information Dean Newberry, the Club Captain, has now taken on the running of the Box Leagues.
It goes without saying that we all hope Keith is as content as possible in his new residence and we send our best wishes to Shirley during this difficult time.
