The club are going to be holding its own Racquetlon tournament to see who is our best racket player!
The tournament will be either a knockout or round robin tournament (decided on numbers entered), where the winner will be the player with the most points after a game each of squash, racquetball and table tennis.
The rules will be as follows:
• Each game will be the first to 21 points. Court A: Squash, Court
B: Racquetball, Picton: Table tennis.
• Games will run consecutively, A then B, then Picton.
• At 20 points all, the next point wins.
• Point a rally scoring.
• The player with the most points after all three games will be
the winner.
• If players are tied on points, the player who won more games is
the winner.
• Racquetball racquets and table tennis bats and balls will be
provided.
• The server in table tennis changes sides every 5 points.
• Toss racquet to see who serves first in squash, the other player
to serve first in racquetball etc.
• Players will umpire their own games.
We are looking to hold the tournament on the weekend of or in the week following the 27th March.
At this stage please can you let simon.g.lawson@btinternet.com know if you are interested in taking park so we can arrange the format and timings.
A communication prior to the tournament will reconfirm you are able to attend, so this is just an expression of interest.
Please let us know if you cannot make either evenings or a weekend timing (tentatively). A form will go up on the club notice board for people to sign their names up to as well.
Any questions, please contact Simon by email: simon.g.lawson@btinternet.com
