There have been a number of comments/complaints regarding the temperature of the courts recently with many members under the impression that the manual (override)system is not working. This is not correct. The manual override system does work but will only kick in if the court temperature is below that of the preset thermostat temperature. However given the general feeling that the court temperatures have been too low we have raised the thermostat to 19 degrees from the previous setting of 18 degrees. To ensure the club is not wasting money on heating the courts when they are not being used the automatic heating will only operate at peak times, which for this purpose have been agreed to be as follows: Monday to Friday: 1600 to 2130 Saturdays: 1000 to 1400 Sundays: 1400 to 1800 At all other times members may use the override system to switch on the heaters. Instructions on how to do this can be found by the control panel next to each court. If any member needs advice on how to operate the override system they can can consult Club Manager Tim Donald who will be happy to assist.
