Today we have a new coach starting, Zeb Young. He will start running the Friday Night junior session from today and will stay on afterwards to meet members during Club Night.
Zeb is a Level 2 squash coach who coaches adults and juniors of all levels. He is the coach at Limpsfield Squash Club (near Oxted). Zeb has put in place an excellent junior programme there and has coached a number of Kent and Surrey County Junior Squash champions.
He once reached number 15 ranking in England and has played racketball as well as squash at a county level. He also coaches racketball.
Zeb is no stranger to TWSRC - when playing for Park Langley he had a memorable marathon match with our own Jolyon Head a couple of years ago.
Adam Barnes led on recruiting Zeb by conducting a thorough process which involved meeting a number of potential coaches. He was supported by Mary Scott-Miller who has an excellent knowledge of the coaching community.
We will formally introduce Zeb at the AGM on Monday 16th September 16th (start time 8pm) at which there will be an item on coaching.
Jason remains suspended by England Squash, whose lead we have had to follow. We remain in contact with him, trying to help with his issue as far as we are able but it is almost entirely outside our control. We send him our best wishes and know some members have been in touch with him.
As some of you may know, Dean is leaving the club shortly as he has moved to Horsham with his partner where he has a new job. We will be very sad to see him go and will give him a proper send-off and thank him for his great contribution to the club in due course.
