Tunbridge Wells SRC Colin Payne Tournament (PSA World Tour) AND Graded Tournament

Dear Members, As you may have heard and noticed from the banners on the website, we are hosting two tournaments simultaneously in January. "The Tunbridge Wells SRC Colin Payne Tournament" is a PSA World Tour professional tournament, and will take place Friday and Saturday 13 and 14 January 2017. https://twsrc.mycourts.co.uk/index.asp?sid=275&id=1626 Concurrently, on Saturday 14 January, we are also hosting a "Graded Squash Tournament" which is open to players from all clubs of the following abilities. B Grade - Players in Div 2/3 of NW Kent League and Div 2 of SE Kent League. C Grade - Players in Div 4/5/6 of NW Kent League & Div 3 of SE Kent League. D Grade - Non-Team Players who play recreationally or in club internal leagues. There's a £15 Entry Fee for the Graded Tournament which includes a Tournament T-Shirt as well as refreshments. Each player is guaranteed to play at least 3 matches, and there will be prizes for winners and runners-up. Registration for this tournament closes 11 January 2017 or when the maximum number of places is taken for each grade. As places are limited, please be sure to register asap to avoid disappointment. https://twsrc.mycourts.co.uk/index.asp?sid=275&id=1627 https://twsrc.mycourts.co.uk/graded_tournament_registration.asp This is sure to be a fantastic weekend -- even if you're not playing in one of the Graded (or professional) Tournaments! There will be some amazing matches to watch at the club, and as always the bar will be well stocked. The Colin Payne Tournament (PSA World Tour) preliminary rounds will take place Friday 13 January, with the semi-finals mid-day Saturday and the finals Saturday evening (starting approx 6 pm). And don't forget there's "the world's best Indian" restaurant around the corner (Bengal Brasserie) for a spicy finish! If you have any questions about these events, please contact the organising "sub-committee" -- Dean Newberry (particularly regarding the Graded Tournament), myself, or Caroline Winning. Colin Payne (1962-2016) brought the first PSA World Tour tournament to TWSRC a few years ago. Colin was a stalwart member of the club, 1st Team player, winner of the British Over 50s Championship, 5 times Kent Champion and 10 times Kent Over 35s Champion. The Tunbridge Wells SRC Colin Payne Tournament is sponsored by Maviga PLC, The Wells Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic, and MYCOURTS. Best wishes to all for a Happy New Year! Miles Montelius
