The regular term-time ladies-only sessions on Wednesday mornings are starting up again on Wednesday September 16th. The session starts at 10am and lasts around an hour and a half. The sessions are run by Mary Scott-Miller, a highly experienced coach, so are an excellent opportunity to learn the game from scratch or improve your current skills. Each session will combine a warm-up, drills to improve techniques and friendly games against opposition of a similar ability. The emphasis will be on having fun and improving rather than being unduly competitive. Each session will conclude with the chance to socialise with fellow players over coffee and biscuits. The sessions are free for members; for non-members there will be a charge of £5 per session. So, if there are any wives/partners of current members that might be interested in playing some social squash encourage them to come along and give it a try. Membership is not required so they can bring a friend or two along with them as well. All that's required is enthusiasm, a squash racket and a clean pair of non-marking trainers - everyone will be welcome regardless of experience.
